Who do ye fancy this week lads?

Was looking online there, McIlroy favourite at 8/1

Poulter and McDowell next best. Not the greatest field there, a lot of unknowns

By the way McIlroys new hair is awful...:o

First off, Rors hair is shockin bad...... but he is def the bet for hong kong even at the short odds,
The last 2 years he has finished 2nd so he has to be the bet where horses for courses comes into play.
Would be serious to see a Gmac v Rors head to head for final few holes.
Others would be Anders hansen @ 40/1 is solid after last week, richie ramsey @ 80/1 or Lowry @ 100/1 who needs to produce good golf to make dubai

He's got a decent record in Hong Kong and seems to be playing golf with a smile on his face again. Making cuts and cheques. Would be awesome to see him in contention again.

Jimenez all the way, 2 time past winner and his game suits this course, course is not that long so accuracy off the tee is paramount. Be his 4th win this year if he pulled it off.

Mcilroy 2nd on -7. Very good start leaving him in second to kiwi Mark Brown.

Id say McDowell could build on his -5 and be in the running come Sunday....

Killer of a finish for Jiminez, a 7 on the last for +2

after the huge disapointment of failing to win a cent at disney last week(a tournament ive always done pretty well at) i backed soren hanson just a few hours ago. 18/1 updated odds, just the usual E5 outright bet for me. -6 bogey free first round, lets hope the next three are much the same.:D

Did Poulter have a putt for the 59?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭aster99

no but he'd a chance on 17th, birdie on 18th was for the 60

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

There must be about 20 guys now who've shot 60 on Euro Tour. Will we ever see the 59! I'd wager a certain youngster from Ulster will do it first :)

Edit: Just checked, Poults is the 15th

Gmac is on fire again....tied for lead with a couple to play
Sky commentators just said they heard him say to his caddy that if he wins the caddy will have to bring the trophy onto Dubai to beat the extra baggage charges........;)

Is it true that his caddy had a meltdown when he heard that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,848 ✭✭✭soundsham

Dyson by 2 from Poulter -21 leads
Mcilroy gmac and mc grane all -15.....slow starts !!
    6 or 7 played

    Euro tour fb page

    European Tour
Final round at UBS Hong Kong Open and things getting exciting. Ian Poulter still leads but hot on his heels, and one shot back, are American Anthony Kang and Englishman Simon Dyson, while Italian sensation Matteo Manassero is just 2 shots back. earlier today Gareth Maybin of Northern Ireland shot an amazing round of 61, now the clubhouse leader on -17. Stranger things have happened.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

Poulter claims title with a bogey on last to pip Dyson and Manassero.

The Irish challenge did not happen. Rors and Gmac never got going. Best of the day from Maybin who shot 61 to reach -17 but a double bogey on the last from Clarke ruined a good weekend to finish -12.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,063 ✭✭✭Adiaga 2

Looks like Anthony Kang played his way into the top 115 to keep his card. Started the week at 138. Love seeing stuff like that at the end of the season. Must check out the highlights later.

Should be a good week next week. Didn't think McDowell had a hope after the Dunhill Links when he was 1m behind but he's put in some great performances and given himself a great chance in Dubai.
