Is it possible to recive dole payments while on a career break. I would like to take a break but am worried about coping financially. Does anyone know how flexible a mortgage company would be in this case.

    In a word..... NO.

i also doubt a mortgage company would let you take a break from payments either... especially if its a "personal choice"... but theres no harm in asking i suppose!

why dont you just job share or something? half the hours... half the money!

More than half the money, you pay far less tax, looking into job-sharing myself next year.
