Last chance to have your say..."Time to wake up people of Ireland"

"Irelands banks have failed for the 2nd time" was a quote in the New York Times this week. Simply put but a fact that seems to have escaped the Irish public.

We are now about to allow the same government who put us in this mess and who made the Irish tax payer pick up the tab for a decade of political incompetence to cover up their more recent incompetences i.e. since the bank "bluff" guarantee.

I have seen first hand the quality of the banks handywork over the past 2 years and I will 100% assure you all, that the decision making in this period was a mirror image of the policies that led to Anglo's downfall.

And yes, we the taxpayer, are about to take on another batch of these bad debts (trust me they are very bad).

It is time to "wake up" and smell the bull thats about to be served to us all. We are choosing to sit back, blog, discuss etc and to stand by & just let it happen.

There are always other options and its up to us the "people of Ireland" to force the politicans in this process to explore all of them & to negotiate the best deal for us & our futures.

If we dont hold politicans accountable, nobody else will and the rest will be history. While there is still time, we all need to act.

If you feel this government knows what its doing based on its past record or your a FF supporter, then you obviously have nothing to worry about!!!!

The government is planning to make their final decisions over the coming days and make their announcement next week.

    The clock is ticking..............

Well actually responsibility rest with the voters. Will they learn?

The nation is in deep shock right now but later on when the recriminations really start then we'll know what shape reform will take.

Of course they will learn. Any lingering voter apathy has evaporated over the course of the back 2.5yrs on the back of all the mis-government of our elected officials. People are restless & angry. I believe the turnout in the election will exceed all records. Can't wait for the door-to-door canvassing to begin for the general election next year. How will they try & justify their actions? The charge sheet is there for all to see.

If voters will learn then why is FF still at between 25-30% popularity???

Very few Irish voters can see past their nose/civil war........They get what they deserve

Those percentages are based solely on opinion polls by whatever marketing guru's conducts them. Based on the events of the past 2 years every person will have had time to consider the antic's of our elected representatives & their inability to govern the country. And opinion's will have changed! The time is ripe for change & Im not referrring to FG, Lab or SF.
