Recommend a 3.5" NAS Sata HDD Enclosure

    I've got a Western Digital 1TB External Drive and i knackered up the usb port on the drive a few days ago when i left the cable plugged in and dropped it causing the usb port (female) to pop off the board.

    Anyway i keep my digital life on that drive but i find it restricting that any time i want to watch a movie or fire up iTunes i need to have my drive plugged in so i was thinking of going down the NAS route.

    I don't care about BT Support, I just want it to show up on my network as a networked drive that i can access on my wireless for reading and writing data.

    Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced NAS Enclosure that i can slap my sata drive into? Something that is going to be well tuned to work with a mac

    I'm not aware of a NAS enclosure that allows you to simply install a drive and away you go. The drive needs to be formatted with what ever file system the NAS box's firmware/software uses in order to be used.

    Have you considered the World Edition Western Digital drives?

    You should be able to swap the drive with the one from your existing enclosure.
