I was snooping around the ribble website, and i couldnt believe they were selling a winter road frame for £110 ! granted the price includes only the frame, the cost of a new headset, forks and mudguards (which i will need) will have to be added. still, is the frame not a steal?

was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the frame, or if anyone has one what do they think of their ribble??

if things are positive i'd definitely get one, and export my hacks groupset, wheels, saddle, bars etc to the new frame.

There is one of these in my house. Can't argue with the quality and finish of the frame to be honest. Ribble themselves are hit and miss. Well established and legit, but customer service is not at the same level as some others. Delivery is not super quick and sometimes things that are showing in stock are not. Overall though, you get a decent product for a decent price in the end.

thanks quigs for the solid advice. cant say i'd expect anything more for the price. it may be some time before they have my frame size in stock...

A guy in my work built a bike (or rather he got Ribble to build it) as a winter trainer using that frame. He's very happy with it.

Maybe consider BikeComponents.de they seem to be consistently cheaper then CRC and their frames seem pretty good.

Ba, same frame for about 20 cheaper for some reason... (These are pretty heavy frames by the way, but ideal for winter)

When you add in the fork, headset and delivery, total comes to €221.57, still good value for a winter hack frame I think.
