Reg Issues and changing hard drive

Right I have done a search and came up with some suggestions but none with any definite answers for my problem. I will try Ccleaner as its come up regularly.

I recently developed a graphics issue and replaced the card. Which fixed the main problem. I also reinstalled the OS which is W7 64bit. I have 8gb of ram and is a quad core 2.66 processor.

I have had BSOD's now and black lines on my screen. I feel the ATI drivers are finding something incompatible in my system as after a reg clean and restart the lines go away. Again its a new card and the latest drivers.

The reg cleaners come back with up to 400 errors and they don't appear to clean them when they say they do.

I don't have a full copy of W7 its just the upgrade version.

Whats my next course to go on to fix my system ? I am thinking of a new hard drive as they are quite cheap and straight forward to install anyway if I'm doing a full install of the OS I might as well do the two at once and leave all the issues behind.

    Opinions and questions gratefully accepted.

Sorry feel free to move to correct forum if this is not the appropriate one.

I have tried Ccleaner and no improvement in number of Registry errors found.

Will changing my Hard drive and doing a full OS install sort the problem once and for all ?

A different hard drive won't make any difference but yes a reinstall is always a good place to start fresh. Just make sure you've got all the correct (and up to date) drivers before you start.
