CoD4 shadows on Grass

    I know this isn't exactly necessary, but if theres a setting to turn on shadows to be cast on grass in Call of Duty 4 in the config file or through console command I'd like to turn it on...:)... One of my fav games, got a new PC and can finally run it. Bought the GOTY edition for a fiver...:P...

    Any suggestions would be class thanks!

    EDIT: Keep in mind I don't mean I want the grass to cast a shadow, I mean NPC's casting a real-time shadow on the grass. Kind of like Oblivion when walking through long grass on fully maxed out settings (done through cfg file).

    just done a google there and nothing turned up(loads on how to increase fps)

    I presume you have all the settings maxed out including Anti-alising(sp??)

    I know what ya mean about googling it...:o... I have anti-aliasing at 4x and AF at 8x. Think Im gona switch to that today to 16x... See if it turns the setting on. It's weird there is no line in the config that says shadows. What's it called if not called shadows? Maybe something to do with lighting? The word dynamic isn't in it either unless two words are abbreviated (DS).

    Dynamic lighting and fx_marks need to be changed. You'll get more solid shadows, but I don't think theres any way for shadows from the grass.

    K thanks... but keep in mind I don't mean I want the grass to cast a shadow, I mean NPC's casting a real-time shadow on the grass. Kind of like Oblivion. Allowing all the blades of grass to have shadows would make any system at this current time explode if unoptimized.
