Check out store.apple.com/ie for refurbished Macs that will carry a warranty.

Try Compub. They have a Facebook page where they list their used and ex-demo models with a warranty. We got a used macbook pro from the Limerick shop last year and it's been brilliant. We had a problem with the mains adaptor and they gave us a new one no problem and organised a brand new battery to replace a dud.

BTW no affiliation with Compub - just a very happy customer :)

There's a shop in galway that you can buy from: galmac.ie

Never bought from them myself so this isn't a recommendation.
