this question has been on my mind for a few weeks now. does anyone here know who holds the fastest time for an ironman (irish nationality)? the race could have been anywhere in the world, i suppose the answer may lead to some lofty long term goals for people!

It was Liam Dolan last year in 9:03ish, dunno if he's been overtaken since? Has anyone gone sub 9?

He still held it after the major European races this summer.

    9hrs 02mins 48sec to be exact.

I expect lots of people will beat this time though next year at the Ironman in Galway ;)

Sub 9 should be on the cards this year the standard seems to be going up all the time.

This year was piss poor for results I think. One or two high 9:2x but that's it. A few people talking about it but no one close. It really should be 8:4x or something respectable. I think it will go sub nine in Austria or Roth next year.

Jason Statham is my favourite action hero ever. I like his serious attitude in every movies of his. He has unleashed body containing six packs.

Yeah, reckon he has a sub nine in him too.
