SMS Issue on HTC Hero (running Android 2.2)

    Hi,

    I have a HTC Hero (on Meteor network) running Android 2.2.

    Texts messages from one user are showing under a different name. This happens with both Handcent or the stock SMS application.

    Has this happened to anyone else. Neither user are in my contacts as these are alerts, one from a soccer website (their name simply shows up as sender, uk based). The other is simply alerts from a local pub about specials they are running.

    At the moment all text message from either are showing as coming from the pub sender.

    I've tried clearing the application cache. Phone is rooted so I can try some other things if people can suggest anything.
