I don't think there's a way to do it directly from Daft's site - there are some browser extensions, I used to use a GreaseMonkey script for Firefox, called DaftMonkey:

Haven't used it in awhile though.

You can also see a history of property ads here:

    http://www.irishpropertywatch.com/

I use this all the time to check rent trends in my area.

Google cache is the way to go for finding info on previous areas. Also property bee is another firefox plugin which will tell you about any changes to a currently active ad on daft.ie

DaftMonkey kinda stopped working for me, I switched over to propertybee which is good and if you work in a hive you can see prices before you started looking at it.

Historical data is harder to find IPW is a good place though.

Propertybee is good but if you don't work in a hive it'll only show you price changes since you initially looked at the particular ad. Must look into working in a hive.

I find the below excellent for tracking house price changes.

I don't work in a hive as some property ads seem to have previously been rentals so it auto shows an increase. I have about 100 properties in my slidebar at the moment and I fly through them quickly every few days to see if there are any further reductions.
