Haha. You and the rest of us pal! What you are doing is called a slice. And I can say with no uncertainty it is your swing causing the problem! You will have to book a lesson with a professional golfer and go from there!

    Yes it's the "common" slice.

Your setup, grip and swing are causing it. Go get some lessons and practice. It will take a while to get rid of it.

If your new to golf it will be too technical to explain, but think of it this way,two wrongs dont make a right so aiming way left is never going to work,go to a driving range and aim down the middle, have the ball near the middle of your stance but slightly closer to the left foot as you stand if your right footed, then basically you want your swing plane or arc to be a flowing movement and when it go's through the golf ball to be aiming straight and at your target, this is where slice or draw is made if the club is not straight,or the swing is out to in or in to out !! it's not something that will be done overnight so weekly visits to the driving range aiming the right way will eventually get you what you want, when i started out i hit 4 irons off the tee then 3 woods and eventually drivers,it takes time so have patience

firstly aiming left is a fools game to correct a slice it will only make slice worse and distance shorter. do u play with hurley grip by any chance ? is your right leg dropped off square to much? square yourself up and practice swing like u had baseball bad away from yourself to avoid cutting the ball leading to severe slice.. is this the case

Yeah I don't want be aiming left just hit it straight because the one time u hit correct it staight over the ditch u no is there any thing I can but help me work on it and no I don't have Hurley swing

Aiming left doesnt make a slice worse.
Aiming your feet left but your shoulders/clubface* at the flag makes a slice worse.

*Depending on whats causing the slice in the first place.

are you using a similar width stance for all your clubs with the ball fairly central between your feet ?

yeah well i have wide stance and then put the ball just be hind my left foot i right hand

heavyballs is right, i was more curious than giving advise.

remember standing open isn't necessarily a flaw (couples, trevino) and hitting it straight isn't a flaw. unless it is sapping your distance or ruining your consistency you might be just chasing an orthodox 'look'.

If you can find something that makes you hit the ball straight off the tee everytime, post it here, I want it. I think I saw on TV one time that Tiger Woods when he was at his best a few years ago, was in the lower half of US PGA stats for fairways hit off the tee, so even the best have trouble.

be fair Loft,i have my nice side too,i just think especially for a beginner posting such a question is a joke tbh
do you not agree with me?he should have posted vid first

I genuinely do mean to be fair heavyballs but I have yet to see a video of someone's swing on this forum seeking advice on how to correct a slice. Free advice is seldom cheap and the troubles he will have deciding which piece of advice is suitable for him and which piece of advice is correct could mess him up altogether. He's got to get lessons from a qualified pro.
