If someone could advise me on this it would be a great help.

The headlight in my 02 celica are fogged up. Could someone tell me from these pics if the damage is on the inside or outside (or both). I think the damage is on the inside, but it has the yellow tint that you get from damage on the outside.

How hard would this damage be to fix?

I am currently looking for replacements from a breaking yard. The only quote I have got back so far, is €180 for the pair. That seems a bit high to me. Is that the amount I should expect?

€90 for a headlight assembly isn't bad at all!

My guess is that the gasket is perished and let water into the assembly. My RX8 suffers from this too but not too badly as some I've seen.

Take out the unit. Bring indoors and check thoroughly. The Gasket could be gone between the glass and the assembly.

The rubber cover / plastic cover to access the rear of the assembly could be missing also or damaged.

Or because of the cold weather and moisture you are just suffering with "the change". Most cars have this right now. It will settle itself out but you can fix it with a blast of a hairdryer.

Don't hold it too close though as you could melt some parts.

Replace and check in 24 hours. If its still there. Time for a new assembly.

Looks perished to me. Get some megs paint cleaner and plenty of elbow grease to the outer lens.

Thanks for the info. Im gonna shop around the breakers yards and see what I can find.

Once I have a pair waiting for me I will try those techniques.

If anyone else has any ideas, let me know.
