Hi,

I've exhausted my mental faculties trying to assess the choices for a mid-range family laptop.
I have decided to go for either

1) Dell Studio 15/i5-450M(2.4Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache)

2) Toshiba L650/i5-460M

I currently have a Dell Inspiron 1520 and haven't been exactly happy with it's durability, I have no experience with Toshiba.

Leaving aside price as a differentiator, I'd appreciate the boards wisdom in a straight choice between these 2 models.

tosh has higher spec processor i5 460 2.53 turbo boost to 2.80, while both have 4 gig ram dell slightly faster but no benefit,dell has 640 gig vs tosh 500 gig hard drive both 5400 rpm,dell has dedicated graphics 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5470 Graphics Card where as tosh is integrated,both have same screen resolutions at 1366 x 76, both have type n wireless and hdmi ports. dell has 3/4 express card slot for extra connectivity and both have one ubs/esata combo port. tosh has numerical key pad while dell does not. i think the dell has subwoofer built in also, looks wise dell wins but build quality ? tosh has good rep for durability.Dell for 779 + shipping but voucher codes are online dont know about pricing of tosh.;)
