New Water Feed valve for boiler

Every couple of weeks the water pressure to my Gloworm system falls too low and I have to let water into the boiler, however the black plastic switch that allowed this to be done easily enough has broken off and now I have to use a small spanner to turn the valve, while this is okay, its not ideal when I'm not around to do it and the family needs hot water!
So, I want to ask can a plumber just attach a replacement plastic flip switch or is it a replacement of the whole valve? Thanks.
