    Does anyone know is An Post hiring temporary Chrismtas staff at all this year? There's nothing on their website. Is it the case that you have to know someone in the company or go directly to your local post office?

    I emailed them regarding any jobs in the DMC or deliverys in Dublin and got an email back saying there are none this year yesterday. This morning I met a friend who only got an application form this morning in the post for a temp positions so you may be better off ringing up

    Not sure about other areas but the applications for Christmas jobs for the Cork Sorting office had to be in by mid-October, I literally just saw it on the day applications had to be received. It's worth putting in a call though - you never know!

    The Cork ones were advertised through FAS (website) and closed a few weeks ago as the above poster said. Sorry :(

    Does anyone know how long it takes for An Post to get back in touch after the vetting process has been agreed,regards Christmas temporary staff?

    As far as I remember the Interviews take place in the DMC in November so they should be getting back to people pretty soon.

    If anyone gets called it's worth chancing your arm and asking are there any positions available in the AMU out at the Airport.

    They don't do shift work.
