    Hello! I am also looking for a good trading site....I recently opened an account with ODL via Sharewatch but the commissions are higher than I expected (25£ per trade over 2k €), so I am a bit turned off

    Is there anything cheaper? I mainly plan to trade in the FTSE and AIM markets...I used to have an account with E*Trade.co.uk before they closed in the UK, and now I would love to find a good replacement...

    I found a few online, not sure you know any of them by any chance?
    http://www.simplystockbroking.com/ ---> 8£ per trade
    http://www.x-o.co.uk/ ---> 5.95£ per trade
    http://www.plus500.ie/ ---> no commission, wtf :confused:

    I found many more, but if you can suggest a trustworthy one it would be very much appreciated :)

    Thank you....

    Was having a look at this now, would you pick UK as country to register the account on in the list or it doesn't matter? http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/ibglobal_sites.php

    Is it quick and easy to open the account if I scan passport, bills, etc ,etc? Because other brokers required me to certify documents and other time wasting procedures that really turned me off, whereas other just require basic documents.

    Thank you for the info ;)

    Country doesn't matter. You can deposit any currency and trade any markets anyway. It took me about two weeks to open account.Scanned documents were enough. No need to certify.
    Just read about their fees carefully.
