    could anybody help me trying toconnect laptop vista to tv everything used to workfine connect the cable goto hdmi bobs your uncle. one day hooked it up nothing happened so i bought a new cable thinking the old one was damaged but still not working. rang maplins for advice told to press function key + f4 it started to find the tv worked fine. now i am trying it again nothing press f4 + function nothing. display modes are reconfiguring but nothing happens. upgraded the device driver to newer version gave me some options clone view it siad multiple display + tv not available other times it gave option and listed the tv in the display choices but would not work, so i hit system restore to go back to the old driver that initally worked looked at some forums on the net but not getting anywhere any help please as it is melting my brain thanks

    press av,av,av,av, the signal may be on hdmi 2,or 3 ,use the remote to go thru all tv inputs, av, hdmi etc
    You may need to turn on external display,tv, in grahics ,propertys,advanced ,2nd display,tv,on.

    read enable dual view, just set it for 1 or 2 monitors or 1 monitor,and 1 tv,,in display propertys.settings.
    it may see the tv as a monitor ,so turn on external monitor too.eg you, have 2 monitors turned on.
