Has anyone used career mentors or anything similar

I am in a job (and of course I know how lucky I am), but i am not satisfied with the work or direction my career is going, i have a degree in accounting. I am looking to find something that I would really like to do and then try to follow that rather than just carrying on in a job I don't find stimulating. I was thinking of trying the career mentor guys (http://www.careermentors.ie) and was just wondering has anyone used them or done anything similar??

Any info would be great, thanks so much!

Congrats on being in gainful employment.....this trait is getting rarer in the current environment!!!!

If you are serious about your career development and committed to leading a commited, professional career then this may be an option for you. I am a little cynical about these services in the sense that there are many free resources on the net that can provide something similar.

This is a basic assessment of what you are good at and where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Perhaps cheaper resources are available on amazon such as "What colour is my parachute" etc.

Aletneratively ask friends and family what they think your ideal job is.

I started out in accounting and found it mind numbing, had a change of direction and ended up in sales/marketing.
