Decided to invest in some nightbreaker plus bulbs after seeing them on a friends car.

Very effectve, especially coming into the winter. Only probem is the headlight assembly on a Mazda 6 has to be the most awkward assembly going.I have spent the last hour at it and decided to leave it before I broke something

And of course none of the garages will fit anything but their own parts.

Anyone have any expierience of changing bulbs on a Mazda 6 or even better anyone in the Naas area that would like to earn a couple of quid ???

    Thanks

I got Halfords to change a bulb on mine when I had one. Their computer had the Mazda6 listed as 'do not attempt' but they did it anyway - without too much trouble.

Tis a pain but it is do-able from the engine bay. If you have big thick farmer hands/wrists you may need to recruit someone with smaller hands. Try to get the tabs on the metal bits lined up right before you go in.

Tried Halfords but they only fit own products.

You've obviously never seen the assembly in the RX-8 ;)

As previous posters said, it's a pain, and doesn't suit those of us with the bigger hands, you just need to get stuck in there.

What bulbs are you putting in?

I was recommended the Philips X-Treme Power H1, the standard bulbs are a bit poor alright.

Putting in (hopefully) Osram night breaker plus.
