Hi I hope this is in the right place...
I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm wondering is it possible to get sky movies on it's own without the whole 60euro(or whatever it is now) package? On our tv we have a sky box but we are not paying for it , and it is an UK sky card in it I think, so no RTE or anything on the tv, just "other channels"(itv etc)
I hope this makes sense... Thanks :)

You may need to subscribe to at least the variety pack to get movies aswell,I doubt the UK ftv card will do.You may order a ROI card from Sky.
Could be wrong but I've heard of people getting a Sky Sports only sub so maybe Movies could br got in the same way.

I would like to add Sky Movies but €28 per month is a bit much so I'm thinking of getting one of the two Movies packs for €14.The Sky website says you only get 5 channels per pack but I'd like to know will I get Sky Premiere or Sky Showcase with the packs? Also what about MGM and Disney Cinemagic,do they come with the individual movies packs or do I have to have the full €28 pack to get them?If not then I won't bother,Sky Premiere is the channel I want most because that shows the new films and €14 per month for just the other 5 channels is hardly worth it.

Sky Movies 1= COMEDY. FAMILY. DRAMA+ROMANCE. MODERN GREATS. CLASSICS.

    Sky Movies 2= COMEDY. ACTION+ADVENTURE. CRIME+THRILLER. SCIFI+HORROR. INDIE.

To get Sky Premier and Disney Cinemagic you have to subscribe to both movie packs.

MGM is a seperate subscription channel-not really worth subscribing to as most of it's movies are on other channels anyway.

    Oh? Do go on... :)

I've been thinking a lot about it lately and given that most of what I watch is on the FTA/terrestrial channels or obtained from my cousins in the US, the only thing I'd really want Sky for is the Sports channels during the Premiership season.

I've heard of it too but the savings are pitiful. A couple of euro at most.

I recently cancelled sky movies, I only ever watched Sky Premier but not willing to keep paying €28 for 1-2 movies per week. When I cancelled I enquired about Disney Cinemagic stand alone and was offered it for about €6.50 pm.

I meant getting them included as part of the Sky Movies pack as the op asked. They may as well pay the full whack and get all the movie channels with Disney Cinemagic thrown in than pay €6.50 pm for one channel.
