    hi im new on this and all. im just looking for a bit of advice on dangrous driveing i know what i done was wrong i took chase from the gards and didnt stop for them untill i had to.i just wanted to know do the garda have to arrest ya for dangrous driveing like on the night he gave my keys back to me and told me to go on with meself and i was just wondering do the gards have to do a breath test and drug test on ya for this offence.

    obviously you did not have drink or drugs taken or the would have arrested you. The do not have to arrest you for dangerous driving, you will just get a summons in the post. I assume the told you the would be charging you with dangerous/careless driving. Im sure the asked you to produce your documents within ten days. why did you not stop for them?

    i just didnt stop that night for some stuiped reason i allways pull over for them and that night i just droped a gear and went like a fool. yea i got the summons there and up in court this thursday im hopeing that i dont get a ban but i prob will neyway sure do the crime do the time

    It will depend on your previous record if you have one and then who knows how the judge will react. have you got a solicitor?. If this is the first offence you might just get a fine.

    what has your solicitor said ? I would not think you will get a ban but it depends on the judge and what evidence the guards give on the day. It also depends on the speed you were driving and how far the chase continued for. Were there other road users at the time and other factors.

    Do what your solicitor says.
    Take whatever the judge gives you, running from the cops is a stupid thing to do.
