hotmail problem on iphone 4

any one else having problems with their Hotmail account on their iPhone?? mine just stopped working today.

i deleted the account and tried to set it up again but now im getting an error message saying that my user name or password is wrong, and it definitely isn't. Ive signed in on the web version of it so i know for a fact someone hasn't changed my password.

any ideas on what mite be wrong??

Yeah mine isn't working either, I did the same as you on my 3gS and no luck.

hmmm quite odd, did yours only start acting up today aswell??

Yeah, I checked my mail at about 6 and it didn't work, deleted and tried to set up again, still not working. I didn't change any settings or anything either.

Problem on they're end, probably be fixed by tomorrow evening.

Just thinking, maybe your hotmail account is full?
When you delete it in the mail app, the mail is still in the hotmail inbox. Log into hotmail proper and clear them?? Possibly!

If you set-up hotmail using microsoft exchange it will delete mails from your account as you delete them from your phone

Same problem here, stopped yesterday, along with mail on my mac which retrieves my hotmail. Keep getting incorrect password message, but can get in through browser no problem.

Since yesterday I can't get my hotmail on Outlook/POP3 - telling me incorrect password.Works fine through the browser

delete the account and then set it up again but this time select micrsoft exchange insted of other, its the same setup but when it asks for the server, it's m.hotmail.com
save it and ur away

+1 on my hotmail not working on my iphone, funnily enough its not working properly on mail on my mac either, what is going on??

Hi.Mine stopped working yesterday aswell. Also i can't email on a photo from my photo album. Anyone know what's going on please. iPhone 4 is turning out to be a bit of a joke.

Yes got it working after 2 attempts following the instructions from earlier post.
Fingers crossed it keeps working.it didn't work the first time but when I put hotmail in the description field, it worked. Happy days!!

Now to figure out why Windows Live Messenger on my computer stopped notifying me of new emails.:(:confused:

Yeah, I clocked that too. They've obviously fiddled with their notification settings on everything. And broke it.
