    Hi,

Has anyone ever been on a surfing holiday to portugal?

I'm only a beginner surfer, but like the idea mixing a visit to Portugal with an activity, and think it could be a bit of craic ...

Anyone have any recommendations for me? Locations and/or surf schools would be great, thanks!

    :D

Eirceira north of Lisbon is a good spot for a surfing holiday. Stayed there last Summer and really enjoyed the place (but didn't do any surfing). There seems to be no shortage of surfing schools there - we could see them out on the waves every day. The village is a good spot with plenty of great restaurants - eating and drinking is terrific value there. It was quite quiet when we were there in early June - but the place was filling up all the time. I'd definitely stay there again.
