Wild Bees / Wasps' Nest in Attic

Went up to the attic yesterday: discovered what looks like a wasps' nest in the attic.

A cone shaped (sort of) hanging down from the felt: colour of a ripe wheat field. 10 to 12 inches long. It is wasps' nest?

No sign of life there - nothing flying in and out of there, anyway.

What do I do to get rid of it ? Is it safe just to demolish it - are all the wasps dead at this time of year?

    Thanks, in advance.

Contact your local bee keepers association and ask them to have a look, if it's bees they will be happy to take it away...

I would urge caution if you pan to destroy it !!

more than likely a wasps nest. you're better of calling out rentakill or some other pest control to remove and SPRAY the area. the nest leaves a scent that the will attract them back next year so you need to remove the scent
