    Hey folks!

I won myself 50,-- in paysafecard in a raffle yesterday and was thinking about getting the Monkey Island remakes from STEAM with it.
Now, thing is I've finished Monkey Island 1+2 for about 20 times each, so what do you think? Is it still worth buying?

    Thanks a lot, gamers! :D

Well, if you like the game that much, then having it in your gamers collection is the least you could do :)

PS. Congrats for winning a raffle game!!! :D Awesome!

They redid the graphics which is nice but there's some weird things about them like the intros being cut entirely and the music not being interactive like in the originals.

I have the remake of Monkey Island. I loved it. All the music and dialog was re-recorded. I didn't notice any differences but I'm sure theres a list somewhere if there are. Being able to switch between the old and HD version of the game was interesting and then theres the hint system.

Congratulations, kickarykee! I'm not so lucky.
Can you spend this money only with Steam? I mean, there is a number of other games to choose from.

What do you mean "the music is not interactive"?
I either totally missed that everytime I played or I'm being stupid right now but I really don't recall anything about the music that's been interactive in the past ...

    @ThunderApple:
Sure you can, but why spend it on something else if you can spend it on the most awesomest game in the world (or its remake ...) :P

The old games used the iMuse system which means the music changed actively according to what was happening in the game. The new ones just pump out MP3s.

Got MI2, well worth it after all this time. Both 1 and 2 are totally worth the buy.

Ah, ok ... I never noticed that ^^

Well, I got them by now, anyway :D
Played through the first one already and though it's still the same game (obviously) it was still cool :D (like I really had doubts about that, haha)
I really hope they'll remake some other old adventure games as well ... Maniac Mansion or whatever :)

I guess there are also some youngsters who haven't played through them yet and offering them through STEAM, payable by psc or whatever prepaid card, might get them into the genre which might lead to more new adventures being made, yadda yadda yadda .... you get the point ;D
