    I always criticise it personally for its bad voice acting, poor animation and generally low budget look.

    But damn its mindless fun.

    Ye, its alright, got bored of it fast enough. Its like blah blah blah, then sometimes an epic last stand as youre the only one left, which can be quite exciting.

    I played a free weekend and I'd argue as well that it's better for 'mindless fun' than L4D. It's very satisfying playing the game and the playerbase during that weekend didn't contain any of the stupidity of L4D. (look it's a game, get over the fact that I accidentally shot you).

    I've almost bought a few times but what's the playerbase like now? Does it still have the numbers?

    Hell yes.

    I play regularly on a 30 player server with a Cards addon.

    It gives you a card every few kills, if you get three of that card in a row it either does something great, or something horrible.

    3x Axe Head cards = 2 x Fleshpounds appearing right next to you.

    3x Nuke Cards = All pipe bombs going off at once. Horrible when FF is on.
