Could somebody please, please, please post Joel Burns' speech on You Tube as a new thread. It's something everyone should read and I'm afraid I haven't a clue how to do it.

No matter how many times this has been posted before, it's still worth a repost because it is an incredibly powerful video.

I wasn't bullied in school during the 1960s and 70s. Nor were those who were camp bullied. The abuse I suffered from was indirect, priests and Catholics implying that we were evil filth and that God hated us. I was young enough to accept what they said. Because they were good, holy grown-ups who knew what they were talking about. They ruined my childhood.

It's no good secreting away among over a thousand pages in the Cathecism of the Catholic Church that it is wrong to disrespect gays. Those who need to hear it don't read the cathecism. It should be shouted from the rooftops, from the balcony of Saint Peter's, that it is a GRAVE SIN to bully gay people and disrespect them, to literally hound some of them to their deaths.

Although I wasn't bullied, it seems to me now that bullying is much more prevalent than it used to be. How many young people are suffering abuse in schools and universities today? Why isn't anything being done about it? When will the perpetrators be named and shamed? And JAILED if necessary!

    When. When. When.

How many sweet, innocent little kids have to die before the legislators come to their senses...?...
