Im looking for a good sports injury/physiotherapy clinic in the kildare area, ive had shin splints for a year now and tbh its becoming a bit of a joke now, ive been to two different physios, neither have solved the problem.

I really hate the term 'shin splints'.

Have you changed your shoes or had your shoes checked since you got them? It can be caused by wearing the wrong footwear so instead of paying for more physio you might be better getting a gait analysis. If you're wearing the wrong shoes you're just undoing the work the physio has done.

I've no recommendations for the Kildare area I'm afraid but a change in footwear may be an idea to help.

My physio is based in Kildare so I can PM you his details if you are interested. He sorted my shin splints problem out and I can't recommend him highly enough.

Sorry for the thread hijack but can anyone recommend a decent physio near Dublin 15? Is the sports clinic in Santry worth a visit?

I've heard good things about the guy in Maynooth on the Kilcock Road. I've never been to him but know a few of the lads from NUIM who went to him for various injuries and he was held in high regard by them.

I had a number of issues that i have had loads of different physios look at until eventually i came upon this guy in Portlaoise.I cant recommend him highly enough, he works with the top golfers and the local GAA clubs in Laois and is an absolute gent.

He'll sort it for you, tell you why its happening and give you exercises to make sure it doesnt happen again.
