I have been puttiing it off for a year know. So I bit the bullet and had a trip to my local gun shop " sorts den " to have a look at what rifles they had in.
    I was after a tikka t3 .223.
Soon as i walked into the gun room I saw the lovley tikka tac on the ground had scope and bi-pon on I picked it up and a good look "I wish" and put it down.

I could not belive it when Simon told me the price €1899. All in.

Had a very quick think and done the deal.
I have not seen any deals any where that could beat that.

So dont wait like I did for a year, get in and get a real bargain.

Cant wait for the licence to come back.

Have a look for your self www.sportsden.ie

I have a tikka tactical .223. I was druling over it for years before I got one. And I have to say it was worth the wait. It shoots like a dream.
What length barrel are you getting mine is the 20" version.
You might want to get a moderator. .223 is very loud without one

Prob a dumb question, but whats the difference between the tika tac and the t3 lite (on the basis that one's €750 and the tac's a lot more)?

Nice rifle by the way, well wear!

The tactical has a few extras.
Heavy target barrel. Fosfate finish. Adjustable cheek piece. Picatiny rail. 6 round mag.
The tac is built for heavy use by tactical shooters and is capable of firing in quick succession with little or no change in POI.

It's like the GTI version of the t3.

Having said that the t3 lite is just as accurate and an excellent rifle.

Is the Tactical the same as the Varmint with a different stock and a few extras?

    Thanks lads,

No doubt I will be on here plenty over the next few weeks / months looking for loads of advice on how to get the very best out of the tac.

what will you be using it for, ie. hunting or target or a bit of both as i do.
for best long range results i can highly recommend the 75gr hornady BTHP match.
but for hunting i can say the 55hr hornady v-max are excellent.

if your rifle is anything like mine then it will shoot well with almost any ammo

    best of luck with it

Sorry poulo for not replying, computer trouble and then last in line behind the kids when it is going again:mad:

I intend it for hunting at the moment but I went for the heavier gun incase i want to down the road get into a bit of target shooting. Better spend the bit extra now and have the gun I need as I need it.

    Cant wait:D:D
