Can anyone tell me why they would vote for FG over FF or vice-versa? I dont know what to say other than that I cannot see any difference.

You have been peddling this line over numerous threads on this forum. Any chance you can provide a proper fleshed out arguement as to why you think the two parties are the same with examples of policies that are similar?

One bankrupted the country and the other didn't. Seems pretty simple.

Yeah. Our choices may be limited but they are not all as bad as each other.

Obviously FG have differing policies to FF, but honestly do you think anyone would vote for FG if they had the same policies as the current government.

It simply comes down to not listening and inaction. Both are equally guilty of this.

This is your reason for saying that the two parties are the same. That's it?

That's extremely lightweight and that is me being polite about your arguement.

The most obvious difference has been highlighted by several posters already.

I'm sure that new batteries perform better than old ones. Party politics suck so much. I cannot envisage the country been any better off if FG were in power up to this point.

If FF were in opposition right now, they would probably have presented the same policies that FG have presented in reality.

Do you seriously think that FG would have made any different decisions that FF over the last ten years? Do you recall Endas great idea about compensating Eircom shareholders?

Do you think FG would have said - listen lads, the property market is overheating so we need to put 50,000 constructions workers on the dole to fix it.... Maybe you think they might have prevented the economy overheating instead - would that be because FG is a collection of economists?

So, really there is no different but at least they are streets ahead of the clueless left.
