Was hoping that Gary Murphy would avoid this stage by doing well in Singapore this week but alas it wasn't to be.....

Nine Irish Players still in the hunt. Bears well for Irish golf.

Best of Luck to all of them next week-end.

What happened Damian Mooney and Gareth Shaw
I thought they came through first qualifying?

My apologies - I only looked at the Irish Flag when going through the Entry lists.

Big D and/or Others may well be in there under the NI/UK Flag?

Slighty off topic but well done to Pat Errity for qualifying for next weeks final stage of european seniors tour school. Following the lead of Denis O'Sullivan prehaps :)

Good showing from Pat yesterday, top 10 after round 1.

3 late bogeys from Pat today when he was in second place, still top 10 at the half way stage. Fingers crossed he'll be turning pro Thursday evening.

Tougher going for Pat today, still tied 11th going into final round.

Unbelieveable showing from Pat Errity today, - 5 for his round after 15. With the pressure on he's had 4 birdies since the turn and that's propelled him to second spot on his own.

Only the first 6 get their cards for next years seniors tour.

:) Job done, he finished tied second. I guess he's turning pro now :D

I'm afraid to say Jimmy Hegarthy missed out :( finished tied 16, there was 6 full cards up for grabs and a further 8 alternate.

Last win i heard he won was the Wicklow scratch cup, plays off +2 so it will be a challenge. He isn't 50 until next March so dont know if he turns pro now or then.

After an interview I heard with him last year when he said ''He was to good for Q School'' it has really come back to bite him in the hole.

Hmmm I read he was 6 shots off the last qualifying spot. Just shows how tough it can be trying to make/retain a tour card each year.....
