Just watched The Nanny, Frankenstein Created Woman, and The Devil Rides Out last night on a box set.

I am absolutely hooked. My favourite is Frankenstein Created Woman (and what a woman! Susan Denberg IS the most beautiful thing I've ever seen).

Any other excellent Hammer Horrors out there? I'm thinking of starting a collection...

    Decent Boxset here.

Its available in HMV prolly cheaper than the above. Some clangers but some cool films in it too.21 movies for 50 odd bucks is well worth it IMO.

Taste of Fear (AKA Scream of Fear) 1961 One of the best Hammers ever made, actually a suspense thriller rather than horror.
Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter 1972 Interesting late period hammer

The pit and the pendulum ( 1961) with Vincent Price springs to mind .Remember seeing it first as kid but then later when older it freaked me out ,specialy the scene were he locks your womon in then slams the spiked door on her  :D ( might have being drunk or stoned when watching ... or both )

Pit is a AIP production made by Roger Corman, who never made a Hammer film.

Ebay will probably be your best bet.

Er, thanks. I suppose I was wondering if there are any online stores specialising in horror that posters here would recommend.

There are a couple of sites that I use such as Synapse Films,Unearthed Pictures or Xploited however they specialise in more obscure/underground/extreme films.

The Hammer movies are none of the above and would be relatively widely available compared to stuff like the Guinea Pig series or some of the German splatter movies.

same..'The Devil rides out' the bit where yer man shines the car lights on the queer fella, still packs a freaky punch.

Was rather disappointed with Dracula. But I just watched The Mummy and loved it!
