Ps3 Media server and windows server

    Hello,

    has anyone been able to successfully share media on a windows server using ps3 media server? Using Tversity and streaming to xbox360 works fine, but TVersity wont stream to the playstation (ps can't see it) so trying to use ps3 media server. Anyone out there able to lend a hand?

    we both have a thread about this, i was told to download ps3mediaserver thats the only replys ive been getting lol

    few things to check
    1- Make sure you have upnp enabled on your router.
    2- make sure you have upnp media server enabled on your PS3 network settings
    3- make sure your PS3 is NAT2 or NAT3 - it won't work for NAT1.
    4- check firewall settings on PC

    Am guessing since you have xbox working you have 1 and 4 ok. Just check 2 and 3.

    for me - Tversity would not work with the PS3
    Neither would the PS3 media player

    but... Windows Media Player works a treat - you just need to make sure PS3 is on. Open media player - on the PS3 search for servers - accept incoming on the PC and away you go :)

    I have PS3 media server working fine on windows server 2003. Works flawlessly.
    Did you allow PS3 media server access through the firewall on server? Maybe if you run ps3 media server on another pc or laptop if you have one in the house just to check if the ps3 can see that? Then we know its just an issue with the server, should be easy to sort it out. Let me know how you get on
