WDTV Live problems

I bought a WDTV Live box yesterday and it plays everything I have on a USB hard drive. I also bought an ASUS USB wireless dongle (the particular model has been tested with the WDTV Live according to the WD site). I cannot get the WDTV to see my network. According to the manual there should be an option under network settings to setup wireless connection but it does not appear on my menu.

The firmware is 1.02.21 which I believe is the latest one. Can anyone help me please?

Hey jools, they are a great little box but I would say that your wireless dongle isn't supported by the looks of things. From the WD Website: :)

The following devices have been tested and are compatible with the WD TV HD Live Media Player.
    USB Wireless Cards:

    Brand Model
    Belkin F5D8051 V3100
    Belkin F5D8055 v2
    Buffalo WLI-UC-G300HP
    Buffalo WLI-UC-G300N
    Buffalo Buffalo WLI-UC-GN US
    D-Link DWA-140 V1.30
    EnGenius EUB-9701
    Linksys WUSB100
    Linksys WUSB600N V1
    Trendnet TEW-644UB V1.0R
    Trendnet TEW-645UB

The latest firmware is 1.04.10 , so your quite a ways behind.
The Asus Dongle is compatible using the latest firmware only.

    See here

The latest firmware can be installed using a USB stick or by unzipping to the root of any hard drive that is connected to the unit.
