Airplay Apple TV

Okay so I've got the new 4.2 iOS loaded on my iPad, and a new apple tv. Also have loaded up the new iTunes 10.1 with airplay support. So why is the iPad still only streaming audio to the apple tv and not video? Is there some magic switch apple needs to turn on for release day or am I missing something.

They need to push an Apple TV update for video to work as far as I know.
