    I always say to people . .

If you were paralysed on a bed tomorrow, what would you regret doing or not doing ?

I have always tried to live my life by a general ethos of doing things that make you happy, may not be socially normal, but dont ignore basic principles of looking after yourself.

Eg. Dont do drugs that could lead to addiction, but anything that you can control that doesnt hurt yourself or those you love, should be fine.

I find it odd that people I meet daily think so little of their lives. I get stressed and I get the usual , normal depression that everybody else gets, but at everytime I know that its a waste of my time and a waste of my energy. It serves no purpose and achieves nothing.

With that in mind, I am wondering do people really value or appreciate their lives or do they live on autopilot because thats the world we were born into ?

Yeah you dont want to get those two forums mixed up.

Although a thread titled 'My Girlfriend is using dating sites' could be at home at either one i suppose

I don't bother with that kind of line of thinking. It only leads to procrastination and maybe having a downer. It's the kind of question that with enough thought would probably make a kitten kill itself. I think a better attitude is to live life the best you can and don't bother over assessing things or start doubting your place in life.

Now where is my lovely lovely heroin?

Well done OP, I applaud your thinking.

However I find it a little confusing that you have started a thread about turning off autopilot and stepping in to life fully; yet you use drug taking as a case in point?
Do you not think that drug taking is stepping out of reality?

Iam certainly not anti-drugs, but IMO truly living your life to the fullest doesn't require the use of drugs.

Read the Power of Now by Echartt Tolle, its a book you will like.

I'am of now for a morning (drug free) swim in the sea, carpet demon and all that shite!

Much too late. Due to a generation with ADD thanks-whoring stops at post #5.
