    Saw that earlier.

wonder if rte will snap up the domains?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,417 ✭✭✭✭watty

The Soarview and Saorsat ones they can get off anyone with a suitable nominal fee. I'd not want to argue with them.

the Saortv ones are a safer bet. ISAA should buy them. Of course they are not exactly rolling in it.

That's a real pity, I dealt with Paul on a few occasions and always found him to be first class, a real loss to the business IMHO :(

Yip, a loss to the supply trade.

Too many rip of merchants like Peats asking daylight robbery prices.

    A real shame indeed.

I got some Edision boxes off him through work. Shame to see him gone :(

Best of luck in your new ventures, Paul.

That is a very sad. I also bought an Edision box from him and found Paul absolutely brilliant to deal with - I was thinking about buying a Vu+ from him soon! :(

Thanks guys for the kind words. I have a new job that means I cant give it the time it needs to be a success. Will still be involved in the business through another supplier and will be around here to chip in.

Its not the first thread that I have seen disparaging remarks from this particular poster. There are some choice words over in the terrestrial on the edision as well because of impatiance! Nanni style lol. Toys out of the pram.

Spot on. I ordered an Edision combi unit from him earlier this year, and the first unit delivered was faulty. Got in touch with Paul and he organised a replacement box ''bleedin rapid'', as they say! The replacement worked perfectly!! Good luck in the future Paul.

Same here, I got an Edision unit in January and it failed after 2 days. Paul had a new unit out to me 2 days later and it's still going strong now 10 months on without issue. All his communication with me was prompt and professional.

Sad to see his site go, but still hope to see the odd post on the boards.

Best of luck with the new job

    ?

Sorry to just find out that Saortv.ie has closed, have shopped there and had hoped to shop there again.
Had recommended a friend to the site but obviously he had problems.
Bought two Mvision boxs from Paul,
    Had good communication and when
one unit I ordered was not in stock he upgraded me to newer version.
Also the Saortv forum was very informative and Paul was always helpful
with the models he stocked and sold. Great customer support.

Best of luck Paul and hope your new
    venture goes well.

    Rgds

I don't know how I missed this thread. I ordered a Technomate receiver from the site and the service was exceptional. Sorry to see that you are gone.

Just found Out Paul has closed Saor Online. What a pity. A mine of information, and a breath of fresh air to deal with. Don't expect this level of service from the big name retailers.
