    Hi.

The cover of the white meter box at end of my garden has fallen off! The hinges are worn out.

Who do I contact to repair this? I am with Airtricity. Do I contact them or Bord Gáis. I am in a city corporation house, perhaps I should contact them?

The box is similar to this: http://www.ritherdon.co.uk/images/pictures/product-images/meter-box-repair-r22-a-%28page-picture-large%29.jpg

    Thanks.

    Hi jaysusake.
What number did you ring Bord Gáis at? The emergency number is 1850 20 50 50 but this isn't an emergency. I don't know any other suitable number.

Killarney plastics(who produce these boxes) will supply you with this cover and a set of easy fix instructions...

I only tell you this cause i would say the ESB/Board Gais will charge a call out...

However if it were me i would be ringing which ever dept it is to complain that the cover blew off the other night because the meter reader left it open.....

You want it repaired now and are not paying for it.

Hi. There were no meter readers around recently. However as we have changed to Airtricity from Bord Gáis; we had to read the meter and telephone them the number. The hinges of the cover just came off when the box was opened.

Ring Killarney plastics and order the hindges although i think you might have to buy the whole lid which is about 20 euro plus postage.
