hello to all the motoring folk,

A fairly intensive hoover first.. Get some autoglym interior shampoo & a few microfiber cloths & get scrubbing.

This was linked to on another thread recently & there's some good info in there & on the site in general.

Pics dont seem to be showing up for me though, not sure if its me or photobucket thats the problem.

I tried the Vanish upholstery cleaner stuff on a stain, just seemed to move it around a bit.I think that the Vax machine you can rent from HSS hire or a RugDoctor from Homebase is the way to go. I'm thinking of getting one in the morning and doing all the cars and the house mats, will let you know how it goes.I can't see a spray on product being much use tbh, removing the dirt is the problem rather than rubbing it further in.

If you take the trouble to remove the seats, then thats the way to go. Its a lot easier in the long run, no creakung back and you wont suffocate yourself with steam, cleaning fluids, fumes etc. You can also give the floor/carpets a good scrub with the seats out, plus all the spare change you will inevitably find, will go towards the cost!

Nip down to your local tool hire place.

I took out a wet vac for the weekend to do a car interior. They can provide cleaning chemicals too.
Cost 50e for the weekend and the interior looked great, tough work mind !!
