    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good swimming pool on the Southside? Would like one with lanes roped off for lengths and one that is clean! I had been thinking of Rathmines but having read the recent post on here about it have changed my mind.

Don't particularly want to have to join a gym just to use a pool!

    Thanks

    Snail

Meadowbrook near Dundrum is about 2 years old and very clean, only 25m though.
Monkstown, 25m has got a bit grotty.
Glenalbyn 33m, rough and ready but good for doing lengths.
All council run and have similar schedules. 9pm every night for lane swims, other times during the day vary.

I go to Meadowbrook twice a week having tried them all.

Edit, all pay as you go; 5.50 a swim. Also - never questioned the water quality in any of these; the changing areas suffer wear and tear as you'd expect and in that respect M'brook is cleanest
