    Hey folks,
    anyone any ideas about this?
Our band was looking into it, but now I'm not so sure.
Anyone who has any info/experiences of this event, I'd be grateful if you could share.
    Cheers!

sure email them to find out. I did but apparently you gotta sell about 30 tickets, which is grand for some but unfortunately not for my largely unknown band! plus our singer will be away. it does sound pretty class though

Hi, we did e-mail them and were told that as long as we bought the 30 tickets(@€;10 each = €300) we could pretty much have any slot we wanted, which sounds ok, but like yourselves we are not well known, plus, we would be travelling a good distance to get there, which is doable as well, its just that I'm wary enough about handing over €300 when you're not 100% sure about what you're going to get for your money.

In fairness the Dublin event looks good and seems to be well put together, information on the Cork one however seems to be sketchy i.e. venues etc.

the venues are Crane Lane and Cypress Avenue. theres a night and day gig. If you dont prebuy they might still give you a slot. You could easily flog 30 to friends like but the problem is the distance really plus college or school holidays so everyones home!

Hey they run a night up here in Dublin as well.

We were told about the 30 ticket pre-buy and decided against it. Pretty broke as a band and not a huge fanbase either. Feel bad hussling friends and family constantly.

A friend of mine in another band waited till the day before and asked for a slot again and was givin it without the pre-buy clause because they were still a little short of bands. He said the gig itself was ok but if he'd paid the 300e for the tickets he wouldn't have been to impressed

Plus if you can't sell all your tickets it leaves the band outta pocket. Hard flogging 10e tickets over christmas period which is when it runs up here. Not sure what dates its run in Cork
