10 Oldest (including currently living) Irish people ever?

I would like to know if it is possible to get a list of the 10 Oldest (including currently living) Irish people of all time.

Something similar to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_verified_oldest_people

I do know that Katherine Plunket (20 November 1820 - 14 October 1932; 111 years, 327 days) would top the list.

I'm not sure if you'll find the information here, but im not sure there's a more suitable forum either. Perhaps you could contact the deaths/births/marriages registry regarding looking for oldest people who have died. Not sure how you could compile a list of the living ones though.

Some information is public domain and will be in the papers as people publically celebrate birthdays.

People have a right to privacy, and this is the sort of information that is covered by the data protection act. just imagine you had asked for a list of people who turned 17 today :eek:


BTW - off topic but it got me wondering
I've opened up another thread in security asking about Identity Theft, because someone of that age will appear on the system but are unlikely to detect their ID has been stolen.

Just a reminder to everyone

If you use facebook, don't show the entire world your Date of Birth as that could be used by ID thieves to answer a security question when asking to get your password reset on other sites. Also from facebook they might make guess your mothers maiden name (another favorite password reset question) if you have a lot of relatives of that name as friends.
