    Hey guys,

Having a bit of trouble, wondered can ye help me out.
I've been getting my christmas presents early and out of the way this year mostly buying online!
While ago i tried to buy a Polaroid Pogo camera off Amazon.co.uk, entered my address and an error came up saying this item cannot be shipped to this address!

I went into the sellers information and they tell me they DO send to Ireland! So I try a different seller to see if that was the problem but the same error came up! I've never had a problem with delivery from Amazon before,
Does anyone know what the problem here is?

    Thanks....

Email the seller and see if they can fix it from their end.

Amazon can be a bit tricky about things like this. For Amazon Marketplace sellers, there are a few options. One of them is if the item is dispatched by Amazon (but sold by the seller), and in that case they won't deliver outside of the UK, even though the seller themselves have no problem with it. One of the quirks of the Marketplace.

If it's being dispatched by the Marketplace seller, then there's no reason why it shouldn't work, as long as the seller is willing.

That's what i thought too, so thats why i changed to a different seller at a slightly higher price and got the same error.

Could it be something about them not being able to send that type of item over? I bought two different things with it and had no problem buying them!

Many sellers aren't willing because of the need to register for VAT in Ireland under the distance selling rules.

A smallish business, operating in the UK, with a local registration, might not want the hassle of registering here for relatively few sales. The threshold for registration is €35,000.

I understand that, that's why i checked where the sellers dispatching destinations were, and they said they sent to Ireland so that's why i don't understand it.

Heres a link to it maybe ye can spot something i can't.

    Thanks.

I was able to order that item from the second seller called eHome. If you hover over the seller names you will see a link that says either Domestic Shipping Rates or Internation and Domestic Shipping Rates. They will only deliver here if it says international.

That looks like a really good spot.

The pity of it is that everyone else charges more than the seller drunkymonkey wants to buy from.

There doesn't seem to be any reason why you couldn't order that item. Rather strange, but at least you got it from the other seller.

Put it down to one of Amazon's little quirks.

sometimes if amazon.co.uk themselves don't sell the item you're looking for and the marketplace sellers have shipping costs that are too high then I order from amazon.de
