Does meteor still give away free micro sim cards? I would like to use this on a sim free iphone I bought from apple, also how can I maintain my number with meteor once I changed to a micro sim?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can cut your existing sim down to size or just go into meteor and they give you a micro sim and transfer your number to it.

ive got an iphone 4 arriving soon

i went into a meteor store and got a micro sim, it seems to be a blank microsim, all the info with it is just a pin number and a puk code

i think i remember reading there was problems transferring a persons older sim(phone number) to a new "blank" microsim, and the micro sim had to have a ph number assigned to it, so that your own mobile number could overwrite it?

what do i have to do once i get the iphone 4, ring customer service and give them my mobile number and the puk code of the new micro sim and it transfers my number to the micro sim?

    its the complete opposite :D
a micro sim with a number attached to it could not be overwrote, you had to have a blank micro sim in order to transfer your existing number to it.

hence why myself and many Meteor customers had to cut our standard sim cards for the first month until Meteor stocked up on blank micro sims.

Do not do this, they dont require your PUK code at all and can do nothing with it.

when you ring Customer Care you give them your mobile number and you tell them you want to so a sim swap. they will ask for the seriel code from the micro sim - this is a long number which usually starts with 8935.......... the important numbers are the ones that are actually wrote on the actual little micro sim.

    your puk number is irrelevent.
