Do I need to use a stamp when writing to a TD?

Do I need to stick a stamp on the envelope when writing to a TD? Anyone know? I vaguely remember hearing that a citizen doesn't need to pay postage to communicate with his or her reps, but perhaps I'm remembering incorrectly.

Unfortunately I don't know, it's likely the people at An Post wouldn't either tbh.

Go with a stamp to be on the safe side.
    Or just email them.
