Who do the ESRI think they are? Every time I read/hear/see the established media, they have some quote from the ESRI about how things are going to get better.

Surely we should just stop giving taxpayers money to these monkeys?

they are a talking shop, and some of their analysts were wearing beards before the unions made it fashionable

True. Things will never get better again. The bust time version of property never falls.

Yeah a pack of plonkers i say. They can take their 0.4% property tax and stick it where the sun don't shine.

That's a pretty big brain, to be fair. As big as not just one entire monkey, but plural!

There's a job for a lot of us in ESRI so.

Actually, I'm with you. I've a pain in my balls with their announcements and suggestions.

At least the unions fund themselves.

The above news report from 2000 says it all. Charlie McCreevy's "economic manhood" quote turned out to be as impotent as the whole FF government.

Ah yes, TM forgot how the ESRI was happy to sign their name to the now defunct PTSB/ESRI house price index. It's only of interest when the bubble is being pumped.

John Fitzgerald is an honourable guy. Unfortunately he works in an organisation that is a pimple on Irish society.

It's not defunct, they're just collecting the data quarterly instead of monthly from now on.

Would you rather they didn't track house prices at all or something?:confused:

This is just stupid to be honest. Fair enough they hadn't a clue when the crash would come but they had been warning about it for years and years.

It's just a great shame their warnings weren't taken more seriously.
