limited connectivity

    hey im trying to connect my ps3 through my laptop with moblie broadband. when i connect the ps3 it tells me that it cant obtain my IP address, it is also saying on my laptop that lan connection is limited. any idea how to fix this. my os is vista and my antivirus software is bullguard and im using 3 moblie

    When you say mobile broadband, I assume you mean one of those USB datamodems ? You have this connected to the PC and then you want to access the Internet through the PC with Internet Connection Sharing?

    I would not advise this, as it will be messy to set up.. You would be better off getting a 3G router so that they can access the internet independently.. I have one of these and it works perfectly for my two PCs... http://www.edimax.com/en/produce_detail.php?pd_id=312&pl1_id=3&pl2_id=18

    I gave up in the end and jst went ahead and brought a 3g router. does the job 100%. i have a new problem though any game i tried playing yesterday online kept saying the severs were down. but i was logged in the playstation network so. what would be causing that.
