    HI Girls,

Just looking for the best make up artist ever!!! Doesnt really have to be mac, but Im getting married next year and want someone good. I've already had a trial and I wasnt happy with it. I dont want the lovely simple bridal look, I want something a bit more dramatic, without looking trashy!
If anyone can recommend someone Id be very grateful
    thanks

She's a little quirky and you can have a look at her work on youtube. I think she's based in Galway though, but she does give prices on her blog page

I used the Powder Room Girls for my wedding last year and they were fantastic. They do both hair and make up and they have artists throughout the country.
I wanted something a bit more dramatic and they did my hair and make up perfectly. At the end of the day I was gutted to take my hair down and clean my face :( Well the face didn't get cleaned til the next morning as I fell into the bed :D

I used the Powder Room Girls for my wedding too, and was so impressed I went back and got them to do my themed makeup for Halloween. They're more than capable of sorting out whatever look you want and making you look gorgeous in the process.

Why don't you go the route one method? Get one of the girls from the MAC counter at Brown Thomas!!

They're all proper make-up artists, and some will do your wedding make-up for you. I considered this for my wedding, but didn't know about the MAC girls until too late. I've no idea about the charges though, but it doesn't hurt to ask...

Otherwise, try Martha Mulconry who did my make-up. PM me if you want her number.

BTW - I'm black. Martha was absolutely brilliant, and did a great job with my make-up. If she can make a black girl look dramatic on her day, I'm sure you'll present no problem!!:)

    Good luck!:)

I went with Lisa on the Estee Lauder counter in BT's. She's really good...
had a vintage lace wedding dress and she really got the make up spot on

I saw this girl on Facebook and thought her work looked excellent. She seems to do a lot of bridal stuff. http://www.facebook.com/#!/IDOMAKEUP?sk=info

One thing to consider is not all the artists in MAC are trained makeup artists.

They sometimes start off as sales assistants and then get promoted to makeup artist and get limited training.

Not saying this is for all artists there but it is good to know.

Hi, my sister got married in May and we used a girl called Amanda Greene. Absolutely lovely girl and kept everyone calm the wedding day. Went for the trials the day of my sisters hen. She did the make up natural for the wedding day and then totally jazzed it up for going out that night. Really dramatic and everyone admired it. If you want her number Ill pm you.:D She is out in Passage.
Oh the majority of her kit would be mac products.
