    Hi all.
I'm looking for a van type camper, maybe a citroen relay, peugeot, merc sprinter etc. Sprinters are probably best van to go for by all accounts. Would this be correct. I'm not sure how sprinters are sized, ie long med or short wheelbase. Economy is important.
There is a lot of vans on Done Deal at moment, any comments on this one

I would be up to doing a conversion myself to a reasonable level but there seems to be "bargains" to be had.
I'm well aware of cowboy conversions and quite a few for sale also.
    Budget from 3-8k
    2-3 berth
    Toilet a must
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    seems reasonable
    wonder why no pics inside
dont forget if its not classed as motor caravan for tax,you will have to pay 13.5% vrt on open market selling price(up to revenue in rosslare, they could value it at 10 grand after conversion)
so that will be 1,350 to revenue

I'd be a bit iffy about that one you have there OP, the vents for the fridge are side by side in the van, They ideally should be one on top of the other to allow air to circulate behind the fridge. They may well have made a balls of it and so are trying to shift it on.....

The awning should also ideally be at the sliding door side of the van and not the opposite side, its a bit useless where it is. Could be easily be mounted high level above the door with a bit of effort. plus the roof is a bit low

    Thanks lads,
If Aidan M M or Kenn sprinter is around I would welcome any info on the merc sprinter ie servicing, parts, fuel economy etc.
    Thanks in advance.
Theres one or two sprinters for sale with big price drops. One from 11.5k to 8.8k for a 97 lwb.

My brother has a sprinter as a commercial, and he has had severe trouble with the ABS pump in it. It constantly gives trouble and has had to replace the pump a few times with the same problems. Other than that, its a great van that doesn't give any trouble. If you can get a sprinter with a working ABS pump, you should be sound. Nice van to drive too. I used to drive one daily for deliveries. There's plenty of power out of it when you need it.

Thats a bosch problem common accross lots of vehicles vw, bmw, etc. etc. Just a bad design better to get it rebuilt than put in another crap new one.

This one is at the upper end of your budget but the conversion is already done.

been watching this one for a while
originally started at 12 grand though
    looks tidy
probably do with side windows and fabric upholstery but given the fact that he used it for motocross i forgive the leatherette
if you offered 7,500 he might be tempted
mileage is high but if he looked after servicing it could be ok

Sprinter's are fabricated from recycled metal, have a look at any you see on the road and notice how prone they are to rust.
